Sherrye Scarlett

Sherrye Scarlett is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in civil litigation and insurance defense, bringing decades of comprehensive legal knowledge and practical insight to every matter she handles. Admitted to the California Bar in April 1998, she earned her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School, where she also participated in a Summer Abroad Program in Madrid, Spain.
Throughout her career, Sherrye has demonstrated exceptional skill in legal research, drafting, discovery, motion practice, and complex case analysis, successfully managing demanding caseloads with precision and professionalism.
Prior to working at Bracy Law, Ms. Scarlett worked at Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs, initially as an Associate before transitioning to Of Counsel. Ms. Scarlett was also an associate at a family law firm, served as a Deputy City Attorney in the Huntington Beach City Attorney's Office, and worked as a Staff Attorney at the Merced Superior Court, preparing recommendations for rulings on the law and motion, criminal, juvenile, probate, and family law calendars. She was also employed as an extern for the California Court of Appeals, District 2, Division 1, in Los Angeles.
Ms. Scarlett received her J.D. from Whittier College School of Law. While there, she served on the Executive Boards of the Black Law Students Association and the National Black Law Students Association. She also worked as a civil procedure and criminal law teaching assistant and as a research assistant helping first-year students prepare for exams.
